Ranca-Ranca Integrated Port, Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan, MALAYSIA

DNA was engaged by Lembaga Pembangunan Labuan to undertake the total project management for the Integrated Port Development at Ranca-Ranca. The port acts as a hub for activities such as transhipment centre, entreport or industrial port. The reclaimed project site can accommodate all the port facilities and increase the existing land bank. The project’s first phase has been constructed and completed.

Aside from the specific engineering design work, the tasks undertaken by the Consultant also include:

• Overall project planning together with project component identification;
• Total project management in producing master plan and justifying the project based on economic analysis and other technical studies;
• Technical requirement inclusive of design, port layout, structural requirement inclusive of design port layout, structure requirement in particular the marine component such as breakwater and wharf construction, hydraulic aspects, environmental impacts, geotechnical assessment, ship maneuvering, port management organization and core activities;
• Evaluate options to privatize the port construction and management; and
• Advising the client on overall project implementation at macro and micro levels inclusive of cashflow and financial analysis.
